What are your plans for the weekend 22-24 March? I invite you to come along to the inaugural Waikato Art Expo "In the Frame", held in the Old Gym at St John's College.
Over 50 established and emerging artists will be showcasing their art for sale. This is a curated exhibition and will incorporate a range of artistic expressions, including painting, ceramics, sculpture, photography, and mixed media. Have a look at the stunning artwork for sale, info on the exhibiting artists and the programme for this event: https://foundation.stjohns-hamilton.school.nz/#artexpo
This art extravaganza is the St John's Foundation's latest initiative; funds raised will go towards the long-term plan for the College to have its own chapel once more. It is also hoped the event provides a valuable platform for talented creatives to showcase selected artwork for sale to the wider Waikato community.
The St John’s College Foundation has been going from strength to strength, reconnecting with former students and their families and actively supporting the school and its current students. We do this mainly through alumni events, the offer of scholarships and long term financial planning to support additional facilities and resources. Our aim is for this expo to become a regular event in the region's arts calendar and as a fundraiser, to make a significant contribution towards a chapel at St John's College.
So, what are your plans for the weekend 22-24 March? We hope you can join us.
