Reporting

Our pillar of family spirit encourages strong working relationships between whānau and the school and we encourage all parents to walk alongside their son's journey through high school. It is important for young men to feel supported and guided by those at home as well as in school.

All parents are given log on credentials and instructions at the start of the academic year as to access our parent portal. This provides dynamic reporting on the latest assessment results, attendance and unconfirmed NCEA results for senior students. We encourage parents to use the portal on a regular basis; 2-3 times a term is sufficient.

Interim Reports - Go home in March and are to be seen as settling in reports, giving parents a good indication as to how their son is settling into his subjects early in the year.

Parent Interview Evenings - Your first chance to talk with your son's teachers is in the latter half of Term 1. Information and booking links are widely advertised.

Mid Year Reports - More detailed subject reports go home at the end of Term 2, these include an assessment summary. There is then a 2nd junior report evening at the start of Term 3

Practice External Report - This goes home to the parents of senior students after our senior assessment week (Mid Term 3). During this week students sit practice papers for the examinations that they will be sitting in November. This report is quickly followed up with our 2nd senior report evening.

End of Year Reports - All years receive a summative report for the year - these are available to senior students mid November and on the last day of the academic year for our Year 9 and 10 students.
