The theme of this year's Mental Health Awareness Week is "Five Ways Five Days":
Monday: Take Notice / Me Aro Tonu
Tuesday: Give / Tukua
Wednesday: Be Active / Me Kori Tonu
Thursday: Connect / Me Whakawhanaunga
Friday: Keep Learning / Me Ako Tonu.
To reflect on and promote those five tools to boost our mental health and wellbeing, we've got various activities planned. MHAW also coincides with celebrating Māori Language Week at St John's College so there will be plenty of activities to take part in throughout the week and additional resources to discuss and share.
Mā te whakarongo, ka mōhio - through listening, comes knowledge
Mā te mōhio, ka mārama - through knowledge, comes understanding
Mā te mārama, ka matau - through understanding, comes wisdom
Mā te matau, ka ora - through wisdom, comes wellbeing
So let's put these five ways to wellbeing into practice every day!
